Optimal Performance & Compact Design
As a standard 1U 4-bay rackmount NAS, Synology RS815 is powered by a dual core CPU featuring a built-in floating-point unit and 1GB RAM to increase its multi-tasking ability. Synology RS815 delivers up to 216.7 MB/s reading and 121.1 MB/s writing speed under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows® environment.1 With the brand-new 12-inch short depth chassis design, RS815 can be deployed in both industrial standard environments and smaller server rooms with limited space.
Equipped with recovery mechanisms, RS815 comes with dual LAN failover support to ensure continual network service, two USB3.0 ports and support for an optional storage expansion unit. RS815 is definitely the top value choice 4-bay rackmount NAS server available in the market today. Running on Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), RS815 enjoys high-end enterprise features and add-on packages available in DSM’s Package Center.
Robust & Affordable Scalability Up to 64 TB
When the storage capacity of Synology RS815 is nearing its limit, additional storage space can be easily added with Synology RX415 expansion enclosure. Equipped with specially-designed locking connectors, Synology RX415 can be securely connected to RS815 via an eSATA cable. Synology RX415 provides room for an additional 32 TB volume, allowing for a maximum raw capacity of 64 TB consisting of four 16TB volumes.
